These are the kinds of projects we really enjoy - ones where the scope covers multiple exterior systems at once. We had two separate homes here, and each one needed a different combination of work. One needed full vinyl siding installed across a two-story exterior. The other needed a brand new covered porch built from scratch. Both required careful coordination and a crew that could handle a lot of moving parts at the same time.
On the siding job, we started with Typar housewrap across the gable end before a single piece of siding went up. That step matters more than most people realize. Housewrap is your first line of defense against moisture getting behind the siding, and skipping it or rushing it is how you end up with rot and water damage down the road. With a two-story elevation like this one, working at height is part of the job - you can see the crew running ladders across the full span to keep the courses straight and tight all the way up.
The porch build on the brick ranch was a ground-up framing project. We set the ridge, ran the rafters, and sheathed the gable end before moving on to the finish work. The columns, the railings, the trim - all of it had to line up clean with the existing roofline and tie into the house correctly. That kind of carpentry work takes patience. Rush it and it shows.
One of the blue two-story homes also got a screened porch addition off the back. That's a project a lot of homeowners in the Brownsville, TN area have been asking about - a way to use the backyard without fighting the bugs and the heat. The screened enclosure came out clean, with full-length screen panels, a ceiling fan, and a proper door. It sits right off the back of the house and connects naturally to the existing patio area.
Every one of these jobs involved multiple crew members working different sections at the same time to keep things moving. Exterior work like this - siding, framing, porch additions - has a lot of details that have to be done right the first time. We take that seriously on every project we run in this area.
